What is Business Travel Week?

The Business Travel Week new for 2009 is aimed at heightening the importance of the business travel market. Five days of business travel activity will bring together European buyers, intermediaries and suppliers across the business travel industry to celebrate all that is business travel and offer a platform for information, networking and debate.

The week long programme of business travel events will take place between 9 and 13 February 2009 with the headline event of the Business Travel Show occupying the middle three days at Earl’s Court in London. Other highlights of the week will include the Travel Technology Show, numerous award ceremonies, networking events, press and supplier events.

With so many events to choose from Business Travel Week provides unique benefits for both business travel buyers and suppliers, and is guaranteed to become the focal point in any business travel professional’s calendar.

London is already a major centre for business travel and with many of the airlines, hotel groups and TMCs located in the region it provides the perfect grounding for the European business travel industry to come together.

“I love the idea of a business travel week, encouraging businesses to focus on a wide variety of business travel and meetings issues across a number of activities. Such an approach has worked well in other industries. With the Business Travel Show as the core I look forward to seeing how the week will develop.”
